This is a CTO role at a stealth healthcare startup launching out of Redesign, on a mission to redefine child development by improving the family and provider experience, and coordinating care with technology.

About the Role

Redefining child development is achieved by adopting technology that will allow us to create a robust and coordinated approach to care, and is integrated into the daily clinical practice in a scalable, patient- and provider-centric way. As the Chief Technology Officer, your role will be to define and implement the organization’s technology roadmap, ultimately creating an exceptional product that is used by both patients and providers. You will also be in charge of building and leading a strong engineering team.

This position will report directly to the CEO. This is the ideal role for a technically-minded product leader looking to help build a business from its earliest stage, and to shake up a historically stagnant industry.

What you'll do:

  • Articulate the product vision, establish the product roadmap and lead all aspects of its development.
  • Drive product creation through its full lifecycle including research, design, development and release.
  • Communicate the company’s technological vision, opportunities, and challenges to its investors, management, staff, partners, customers and other stakeholders.
  • Set the talent strategy, recruit and train a team of engineers.
  • Own product QA process and user quality experience.
  • Negotiate and administer vendor and consultant contracts and service agreements
  • Be a core member of the founding leadership team in driving the direction of the company.

What you're like:

  • 7+ years of experience in product management (with at least 2 or more years as a product lead), and a strong technical background.
  • BS / MS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field preferred.
  • Experience leading one or more engineering teams.
  • Demonstrated success as a product lead in the creation of one or more products from scratch.
  • User-focused – you create seamless interfaces and you focus on building solutions to any user problems that arise.
  • Strong communicator – you know how to talk to engineers and motivate them, and you appreciate the engineering product building lifecycle.

Pay & perks:

  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance
  • Paid time off
