We’re seeking a Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to lead our incredible engineering team and our overall technology strategy. Reporting to the CEO, you’ll set the strategic vision for our technology, to ensure we continue to innovate and transform the healthcare world.

Accountabilities

  • Develop and clearly articulate a compelling technology vision that inspires the team and external healthcare community
  • Build, manage and motivate multiple high-performing teams to build cutting edge technology across multiple fronts -- data ingestion, machine learning, three front-end user applications, and a robust platform back-end
  • Partner closely with Product to curate and maintain a roadmap of projects to drive our business forward
  • Be agile process oriented; be able to build systemic metric efficiencies, which drive speed and measure accountability
  • Manage multiple parallel development work streams from concept to design and implementation and ongoing refinement
  • Instill strong software engineering practices, including continuous delivery
  • Take ownership for the timeliness and quality of all engineering deliverables and communicating with other leaders and the broader company frequently
  • As a member of Quartet’s leadership team and the individual with the largest headcount, we expect this leader to be a major shaper of culture, behaviors, and values

Minimum Qualifications

  • Conceptual technical understanding of: distributed service design, JVM technologies (Java in particular), cloud architecture and infrastructure (build-test-deploy pipelines and environments), data engineering (ETL, big data processing in Hadoop or similar ecosystems), data science (machine learning, NLP et. al.), security auditing and engineering, and data warehousing & analytics
  • Methodical approach to empowering and engaging high performing engineering teams
  • Excellent written/ oral communication skills, for technical and non-technical audiences
  • Ability to operate as a partner to other leaders, understanding and being able to balance business objectives against technical needs
  • Creative, flexible, and embraces perpetual business shifts and changes
  • Thrives in an environment where technology takes ownership for driving business metrics

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong track record of 15+ years of progressive technology leadership (coding to executive), with 5+ years in a CTO (or comparable) role
  • Proven ability in building scalable technology infrastructure to support business growth
  • Experience in fast paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environments
  • Success scaling engineering teams to 100-200 engineers
  • Healthcare sector experience a plus but not required
  • Strong problem-solving and motivational skills
