Developer Experience Engineer - Infrastructure (Lead)
About Clear Street:
At Clear Street, we are disrupting the institutional brokerage and clearing market by modernizing archaic industry segments with brand new technology. We’re changing the way institutional investors interact with the markets; offering an alternative to working with big banks. Our cloud-based API technology will empower clients to clear, settle, and finance trading activity while accessing real-time risk and position information. Our platform is built on an incredibly modern tech-stack, by pragmatic engineers focused on building intuitive and frictionless user experiences. Our tech-infused suite of customer experience-oriented prime service offerings will increase our clients’ efficiency and provide real-time insights they’ve never previously experienced.
The Team:
An engineer is only as good as their tools, and as a Developer Experience Engineer you will work with a team of passionate and highly collaborative engineers to build the best in class tooling for Clear Street. You will own the design, implementation, and maintenance of core tooling that ensures our engineers are able to work at their best level, smoothing out the bumps of development and creating an engineering experience that borders on "magical". In addition to tackling these non trivial problems, you'll help shape development workflows across Clear Street, setting standards on how we design, engineer, and enhance our core applications.
As a team lead, you will be helping shape the developer experience group at Clear Street, defining priorities, collaborating with other teams, and ultimately molding how Clear Street engineers. Finally, you'll be working as a key part of the Infrastructure team -- a part of the bedrock that defines Clear Street engineering -- being a voice of experience in the team, evolving our technical standards and best practices, and furthering our culture of engineering excellence.
Requirements:
- You have lead teams of engineers that have shipped and operated mission critical infrastructure.
