Engineering Manager, QA
We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our QA team. As a leader of a small team responsible for a product that reaches millions of users, you will have product impact, opportunity to architect QA systems from scratch, and use modern technologies across all layers of engineering. Your primary goals are to build a fulfilled, engaged, and efficient team; to empower your team through individualized mentorship and coaching; and to raise the level of Hinge’s QA practices, processes, and culture.
Responsibilities
- Manage, coach, and grow a mixed team of QA analysts, engineers, and designers
- Shape team growth, structure, and culture
- Clarify, prioritize, and coordinate team investments
- Increase efficiency of team workflows and processes
- Create clarity and alignment within team and across organization
- Contribute to IC work and projects as needed
Requirements
- You have 1+ years of management experience
- You have 4+ years professional experience as software developer working with QA and automation tools
- You have experience working with CI/CD tools
- You thrive in a supportive leadership role
- You are capable of and can facilitate clear, productive, and empathetic communication
- You have experience with automated testing tools, e.g. API integration testing, load testing, etc
