Job Description

Responsibilities

• Develop, code and assist marketing efforts, focusing largely on email development.
• Create dynamic content elements to create personalized emails.
• Ensure quality, consistency enforced at all steps and across all assets, devices, inboxes.
• Develop and manage templates and code library.
• Work with cross-department teams to understand needs.
• Help evaluate and improve internal processes to improve our ability to deliver website features.
• Use the information gained through market and technology research to improve solutions and suggest enhancements pro-actively.
• Document processes and techniques for re-use on other projects.
• Maintain awareness of email and marketing trends, to make recommendations on optimization of current code, tactics, and best practices.

Qualifications

• At least 2-4 years of email development, using HTML and CSS.
• Advanced knowledge of cross-browser, cross-device testing for email, Email on Acid a plus
• Comprehensive knowledge of the principles and concepts of web-based software development
• Understanding of content management systems (CMS), such as Drupal, and the basics of web-based applications and internet technologies
• Strong understanding of responsive email design 
• Superb verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to take a leadership role on projects and teams
• Ability to manage time across a variety of tasks and projects
• Advanced analytical and problem-solving skills, with great attention to detail

Desired Skills

• Experience working with Blackbaud Luminate Online
• Experience working with Blackbaud CRM
• Experience with Agile development methodologies such as SCRUM
• Experience managing internal expectations
• Understanding of business rules and working with teams on applying rules
• Experience providing direct customer support and assistance
