Ever/Body is looking for a smart, scrappy Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join our core engineering team and help us build the world’s first direct-to-consumer, tech-enabled experience in cosmetic dermatology. As an early employee, you’ll report directly to the CTO and work with the founders to build the technical foundations of the company.

The ideal candidate is passionate about building products real humans use, cares about consumer privacy, enjoys learning and building beautiful and complex online experiences that “just work.” You will be responsible for designing, architecting, implementing and supporting a user-facing, HIPAA-compliant website and mobile web features. We are a women-led technical team that embraces a culture of curiosity, transparency and authenticity, believing that companies are communities first. We promote from within, and our CTO has a passion for finding and growing sparks of talent in people.

What you'll do:

We believe engineering is a people-focused discipline - you build code with people and for people, and your input on the product is always desired. You’ll collaborate with world-class designers, engineers and business leaders and build something people want, while expanding your techstack and technologies (think: single-page apps, React, React Native, Node, GraphQL, etc). In this role, you will also:

  • Develop beautiful user-facing features.
  • Build reusable code and libraries for future use.
  • Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs.
  • Create quality mockups and prototypes on tight timelines.

What we're looking for:

We are looking for talented engineers from traditional and non-traditional backgrounds. Do you have a passion for using technology to improve people’s lives? Are you excited to join an early stage startup with a lot of room for growth? These are some guidelines (not rules) for what we’re looking for:

  • B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent (non-traditional backgrounds are welcome with some professional experience in the field)
  • 3+ years of experience working as a front-end engineer.
  • Experience with modern JavaScript libraries and tooling.
  • Deep understanding of the "behind-the-scenes" of HTML rendering, CSS and Javascript.
  • Deep understanding of core modern web concepts such a single page app and server-side vs. client-side rendering.
  • Demonstrated design and UX sensibilities.
  • Initiative and ownership.

Bonus points for:

  • Experience with React and Next.js.
  • Familiarity with server-side technologies such as Python and NodeJS, AWS technologies, databases.
  • Experience in medical aesthetics, healthcare or startups.

Pay & perks:

  • A competitive salary and meaningful equity
  • Company-paid health, dental and vision insurance
  • FSA and commuter benefits
  • Flexible paid time off
  • Training, mentorship and coaching
  • Fun, diverse, open-minded coworkers
  • Beautiful office space in Manhattan
  • Flexible hours and working from home policies
