The front-end platform team works with product teams to continually improve the quality of Vimeo’s products, foster front-end innovation and streamline Vimeo’s development process through the implementation of tools and libraries, the promotion of common practices and refactoring efforts to both validate new approaches and support adoption. What you'll do:

• Write clean, well-tested, and performant library and product code for our Front-end platform, using JavaScript, Typescript, React and styled components,
• Build tools to improve the product development process through documentation, code analysis, testing, build scripts and easier UI authoring,
• Coordinate with product engineering teams to gather requirements, promote the adoption of common practices, and support their contributions to the front-end platform.

Skills and knowledge you may already possess or would develop on the job:

• JavaScript expertise, with a focus on component-driven libraries, such as React. ES6 and Typescript a plus.
• Good knowledge of Css, Styled components a plus,
• Experience working on the server side when necessary (PHP, Python, Java, Go, NodeJs, etc.)
• Experience working with Restful APIs,
• Experience working with parsers to generate code trees and run analysis, modifications or code generation would be a plus,
• Experience using and extending Babel and Webpack,
• Good knowledge of Linux tools and comfortable writing bash scripts. GNU Make a plus,
• Good knowledge of common algorithms and data structures.
