Information Security Analyst

The Information Security Analyst will work with cutting edge technologies to detect, respond, and mitigate cyber threats. Triaging and correlating alert, threat, and intel data will prove crucial in defending and hunting for low level and advanced threats. The analyst will also assist with security education efforts, compliance, and auditing in order to maintain current certifications and achieve new ones.
Responsibilities
- Develop scripts and processes to correlate security alerts from various sources (network devices, IDS, HIDS, OS logs, application logs, etc)
- Analyze and parse logs in order to detect incidents and suspicious events
- Develop security tools that correlate and visualize data by leveraging APIs from deployed security technologies
- Design dashboards and UIs to present security metrics and events
- Develop scripts and processes to audit user access controls and accounts in various cloud and local applications
- Automate security related tasks to improve the Security team’s operational effectiveness and ability to respond to threats quickly
- Automate compliance tasks and reporting
Minimum Requirements
- BA/BS Degree
- Strong passion for data analysis and correlation
- Strong programming skills in Python or similar language (Go, Java, etc.)
- Strong working knowledge in interacting with APIs
- Flexible, self-motivated, curious
- Detail-oriented, organized, process-driven
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a high-volume environment
- Autonomous worker with excellent time management skills
- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional team environment
- Practical knowledge in TCP/IP and related protocols, network security design considerations, linux administration, and scripting
