As the Director of Product, Engagement you will be responsible for Seismic’s portfolio of products that enables sellers to engage with their buyers/customers/prospects in a meaningful, interactive, and scalable manner.  To be successful in this role, you need to develop a deep understanding and empathy for the challenges Seismic’s customers face, love building communication-related products, excel on setting a clear, well-researched vision for your team, and model exceptional execution in order to bring the best possible products to market.

 

What you’ll do:

  • Define and evangelize the strategic vision for how sellers engage with buyers on Seismic to cross-functional stakeholders and executive leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and coach a team of exceptional product managers responsible for the products within our current engagement portfolio
  • Instill a culture of product discovery where new ideas are validated prior to development
  • Assist your team by translating the product strategy into well-balanced quarterly plans ensuring requirements are well thought through and dependencies are properly known, mapped, and discussed
  • Contribute to the overall product development process, always looking for ways to improve how we do what we do
  • Encourage and assist in the systemization of user data to inform product decisions
  • Be an expert in the industry, emerging trends, and where the industry will be headed over the next few years

 

Who You Are:

  • 7+ years of product management experience with a track record of successful product releases that drive user engagement and retention
  • 3+ years as a Director of Product managing and mentoring a team of product managers
  • Previous experience in communication-related products such as email, social, or SMS
  • Deep empathy for our customers which includes an understanding of their business goals and business practices/processes
  • Strong operational & organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to balance multiple projects while following through on plans
  • A level-headed and unifying voice in product alignment meetings with design, engineering, and go-to-market teams
  • You can clearly articulate a phased approach to balancing short term and long term goals
  • You have a demonstrated passion for user experience and have delivered enterprise-grade software that delights users
  • Excellent verbal, visual, and written communication skills
  • Proven analytical skills and experience using data to drive decision-making and feature prioritization
  • Experience working in a fast-paced enterprise technology environment
  • Low ego, highly personable, models integrity
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
