Manager, Infrastructure Engineering

We are looking for an engineering manager to lead an Infrastructure team solving complex hardware problems using intelligent software. You’ll manage a team of 4+ engineers building tools and services to manage infrastructure on a cloud scale. You are comfortable working remotely, and ideally have experience managing a distributed team.You will also manage the recruitment, selection, and retention of the team as we continue to grow and scale. This role will report to the Director of Infrastructure Engineering and can be based remotely in North America or from our offices in NYC and Cambridge, MA.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Leading and managing a distributed team of engineers
- Overseeing the overall planning, execution, and success of complex technical projects related to infrastructure tools and services
- Building and developing tools and processes to continuously improve engineering velocity
- Supporting the professional goals and development opportunities for the entire team
- Working with cross-collaborative teams to deliver projects and enable new products
- Driving adoption of existing team run services within the company
What We'll Expect From You:
- 2+ years of direct experience with managing, coaching, and mentoring an engineering team
- Experience with operating and maintaining cloud infrastructure
- Experience with staffing, interviewing, retaining and building high performing teams
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and follow-up
- Experience coaching and mentoring
- Familiarity with project management methodologies
- Passion for dealing with infrastructure complexity at scale
