What this role is about: 

As a Performance Testing Engineer, you will work in a highly collaborative environment where you will contribute by creating test strategies and test plans as well as executing performance tests. You will have the opportunity to work on a large-scale system with mission-critical applications and microservices. You will be responsible for collecting and analyzing test results data, describing the application’s performance characteristics and trends while also participating in the constant improvement of our performance test practices.

What you’ll do: 

  • Test the performance and capacity of products in development using tools like JMeter, K6, etc.

  • Identify test requirements from specifications, map test case requirements and design test coverage plan to create test strategies

  • Verify system performance of releases and collaborate with security, infrastructure, and development teams to ensure our systems are tested and performant 

  • Communicate ongoing system performance conditions to internal stakeholders using standardized KPIs and dashboards

  • Participate in root cause analysis and complex system performance investigations

  • Learn and enhance tools to improve performance testing

  • Drive performance/load test operations towards a CI pipeline model to support continuous performance improvements

What we’re looking for in our ideal candidate: 

  • 2+ years of relevant experience with performance testing/QA

  • Experience with a performance tool(s) like Jmeter, K6, Locust, SoapUI, LoadRunner

  • Experience with data storage and visualization tools like InfluxDB and Grafana

  • Experience working with REST APIs

  • Experience with defect management tools like Jira

Bonus:

  • Experience working in a startup environment

  • Working knowledge of databases 

  • Experience with CI/CD systems

It's our top priority to offer all of our team members fair and equitable compensation that has been thoroughly researched and benchmarked against market data. The budgeted range starts at $110,000 - $125,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience. This does not include equity, bonus or commission. #LI-Remote
