QA Analyst
Outbrain is hiring an Implementations QA analyst to perform testing within the Global Technical Operations group. This role will oversee new test approaches from concept to execution, for variety of areas including internal tools QA, client installations and more. This is a unique opportunity for a QA professional who is interested in native advertising, web development and publisher ecosystems. The QA Engineer will report remotely to the IL Team Lead and will need to be comfortable building internal relationships and working independently.
Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot widget installations -- UI, performance, data analysis, integration
Create test plans for new product/feature implementations
Configure testing framework for internal tools development
Work with Business Insights/Business Analyst Groups to leverage data in identifying client issues
Work with R&D and Operations to obtain necessary insights and resources
Network debugging and manual testing of mobile app integrations
Troubleshooting and compliance testing custom server-side API implementations
Cross-browser and cross-device UI testing
Collaborating and communicating with Implementation Engineers, Product & Business roles for a nuanced understanding of client needs and product solutions
Initiating updates of internal documentation and procedures to eliminate inefficiencies in QA process
Qualifications:
BA/BS degree or equivalent
2+ years of work experience
Knowledge of SQL
Experience with browser developer tools
Experience with proxy monitor tools and network debugging
Knowledge of API and mobile apps integration, implementation and utilization
Effective communication of progress & challenges
Experience troubleshooting technical issues for external clients
Advantages:
Coding experience in Java, Python, Ruby, PHP or Javascript are a plus
