Founded in 2019, Flex is an early stage NYC-based FinTech startup that is building the infrastructure to enable flexible bill payments for all Americans, starting with a very common and very large expense: rent. Flex enables its users to pay their rent throughout the month on a schedule that better fits their finances, rather than paying the full amount on the first of each month. We are looking for talented Quality Engineers to help us build, scale, and improve our products. This person should be comfortable to work with different teams, technologies and stakeholders. Strong communication and analytical skills are very desirable traits. We believe Quality is something bigger than a role.

What you'll do:

• Create quality and testing strategies for different teams and products (from front-end products to infrastructure scenarios)
• Pair with product folks and developers to ensure we are building quality since the beginning of the development process
• Automate tasks to ensure repeatability and scale
• Perform manual testing

Who you are:

• 2+ years of professional experience working with software development best practices
• Experience of helping teams to deliver great software
• Strive to find simple solutions to complex problems
• Curious and enjoy not only learning, but also mentoring others
• Evangelist for quality who is willing to spread proven methodologies and a quality attitude to the rest of the engineering team
• Highly collaborative, able participating in code reviews, and discussions about architecture or design
• Have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Are comfortable in a collaborative, and distributed development environment
