TITLE: QA Engineer
LOCATION: New York, NY / Remote
The Role:
Canoe is looking for talented, innovative and enthusiastic developers responsible for testing the quality, consistency, and reliability of Canoe’s web-based applications. The QA Engineers are members of the Engineering team, however they have significant interaction with members of the Product and Client Success teams as well. What You’ll Do:
- Develop, maintain, and execute test plans for web-based applications
- Monitor, manage, and report problems and bugs found in web-based applications
- Develop expertise with the company’s data sets
- Work with software engineers to resolve issues in a timely manner and assist in compiling processes to automate testing
- Document all testing activity and devise efficient workflows for issue resolution
- Report performance metrics to the Engineering team as well as company leadership
What We’re Looking For:
- 3 or more years of QA experience
- Strong project management and communication skills combined with strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to write automated Quality Assurance/Software testing
- Understanding of the design process and software development lifecycle (agile or otherwise)
- Experience with general internet technologies and collaboration software
- Experienced with reviewing product specs to write robust test cases and plans
- Ability to easily adapt to changing priorities and effectively alter goals
