How you'd be making home ownership achievable:

  • Leading the Ribbon Engineering Enablement team inclusive of functions that help engineers do their best work and help us scale our business growth
  • Coaching and mentoring technical leads and engineering managers to help them do their best work
  • Collaborating across all product engineering teams and have tremendous impact on the Ribbon products that modernize the home buying process and make it fair for all
  • Ensuring Ribbon builds an architecture that scales along with our user growth
  • Being an advocate of engineering practices and initiatives that keep code-quality and team velocity high

  • You are a leader that is passionate about coaching, mentorship, and empowering teams 
  • You are passionate about building scalable development practices and architectures to enable company growth

Our stack

Here are some of the tools you'd be using to help us build the future of real estate. If you've never used these specific tools before but are interested in working with them, please apply!

  • Back-end: Python, Django, GraphQL
  • Front-end: JavaScript, React, Styled Components, Apollo
  • Data: Scala, Spark, EMR, Kafka, Airflow, Yarn, Terraform Cloud, Snowflake, Athena, Redshift
  • Ops: Kubernetes, Docker AWS, Postgres

What you will do:

  • Lead the Ribbon Engineering Enablement team inclusive of: Common Services Team, Data Platform Team, QA Engineering Team, and DevOps Engineering Team 
  • Recognize exceptional talent and hire a top tier engineers who each make project impact within the first 3 months of hire
  • Facilitate the gathering and prioritization of impactful architecture designs, engineering practices, and QA practices from the engineering team
  • Facilitate technical architecture and design of a highly scalable infrastructure and engineering development practices
  • Create an architectural pattern to identify how to migrate from a monolithic architecture to a more scalable architecture
  • Implement development best practices that will reduce the number of post production defects and improve code quality 
  • Implement quality best practices that will reduce the number of post production defects across all device types 
  • Provide coaching and mentorship to team by providing challenging work, regular feedback, and fostering an environment where everyone can do their best work 
  • Set project goals, facilitate success, and unblock team impediments
