That’s why we’re looking for talented Senior Software Engineers to join Procore’s journey to revolutionize a historically underserved industry.

As a Senior Software Engineer on our Core Frameworks team, you will be a core member focused on delivering our vision of an optimized strategy and process to keep the Procore core frameworks and their dependencies seamlessly up to date and secure. In this role, you’ll join our highly collaborative Product and Engineering organization to drive the technical direction of our projects.

This position will report to our Senior Engineering Manager, Core Frameworks, with the opportunity to be located in our Carpinteria, CA headquarters, New York City, or Austin, TX office. Remote candidates will be considered based on experience with the expectation of occasional travel to these offices. We’re looking for someone to join our team immediately.

What you’ll do:

• Participate in designing and building processes that offer innovative, repeatable solutions that upgrade our core frameworks as easily and quickly as possible.
• Continue to evolve our solutions for low-risk production validation of our upgrades
• Implement industry best practices for Rails performance improvements
• Serve as a leader and mentor to more junior engineers within your team 

What we're looking for:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, a related field, or comparable work experience
• 5+ years experience in Object-Oriented Program fundamentals, Test Driven Development and Design principles (Ruby on Rails and one of Python or C++ or Java)
• Experience designing and building software in a Service-Oriented Architecture
• Track record of anticipating technical problems that will fall out of major projects and designing solutions to overcome those problems
• Experience working with our stack of Ruby on Rails, React, and PostgreSQL
• Strong experience documenting and bringing team clarity to complex solutions
• Expertise with modern web development across the entire spectrum of development, testing, staging, deploying, and monitoring
• A curious mind that is driven to innovate and solve customer problems
