The Search and Machine Learning team at Vimeo is focused on developing, deploying, and maintaining machine learning driven solutions at Vimeo. Join us and help bring our feature ideas (and your own!) off the whiteboard and into reality. As a Software Engineer, you will collaborate with Machine Learning Engineers and other teams to determine API needs and help build a scalable ML Platform and integrate our ML Services into our products.

What you'll do:

• Implement application frameworks, APIs, libraries and services that perform at scale using existing and emerging technology platforms/standards like Kubernetes, Docker, Kafka, gRPC, Elasticsearch and Tensorflow Serving
• Work on innovating, expanding, and growing our machine learning platforms and services to
  large datasets and new applications

Skills and knowledge you should possess:

• 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining APIs and writing production code in Python or Go
• A disciplined approach to writing unit and integration tests
• You are rigorous in software design life cycle best practices (design docs, code reviews, support, Sprint planning, Agile methodologies)
• Good working knowledge of databases and search engines like MySQL/Postgres, Cassandra/Spanner, or Elasticsearch/Solr.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work across many products and teams
• Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent) preferred
