Software Engineer
Reorg Research provides breaking news and market-moving intelligence along with cutting-edge technology and data for hedge funds, investment banks and law firms. Reorg is looking for a software engineer who wants to solve complex problems. The candidate will be responsible for adding new features and fixes to our products. Technologies we use: PHP, Laravel, VueJS, Javascript ES6, Node.js, MySQL, MongoDB and Elastic Search.
Reorg’s technology team consists of back-end developers, front-end developers/designers, QA engineers and a dedicated data science team. The tech team closely collaborates with each other to deliver the latest features into our products. The candidate will have a major impact on our products, as she or he will be building and maintaining features using cutting-edge technologies.
Responsibilities
- Building out new features
- Bug fixes
- Technical planning with senior developers on projects
- Work with design, QA and data science on projects
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience working with PHP and the Laravel framework
- 5+ years of experience working with a MySQL database
- Works well in a collaborative team environment
- Knowledge of design patterns
- Data modeling experience
- Experience working with Linux systems
