In this role, you will:
Test Case Design & Strategy:
- Participates in architecture and design sessions and provide feedback in creating testable components.
- Creates test cases that provide the highest requirement coverage within and neighboring systems under test.
- Identifies automatable test cases, creates and estimates user stories and tasks.
- Create a test strategy for the product and for the ongoing major feature developments.
Test Case Automation:
- Automate functional, integration, regression test cases to support product releases.
- Maintain CI pipeline and gated deployment pipeline with test automation.
- Provide visibility on release quality with relevant metrics and dashboard solutions.
- Build/Maintains regression suites and test automation library
- Creates test data solutions for the successful implementation of automated testing.
Testing Champion:
- Creates test automation frameworks and pioneer effective test automation efforts.
- Creates test automation best practices and usage of appropriate tools, libraries.
- Continuously evolve testing practices to be able to reduce release defect density.
- Create and maintain appropriate defect management tools.
Test Execution
- Executes test cases for releases and report quality issues for immediate action to the development team.
- Support release readiness testing and acts as a liaison with partner product testing teams.
- Create defects, triage, and work towards the resolution in partnership with developers.
You should be an expert in:
- Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design
- Building test automation frameworks from the ground up.
- Programming skills in Java, C#, Python, Node.js, or javaScript.
- Databases (SQL, NoSQL, Columnar) like Couchbase, Cassandra, Elasticsearch, DynamoDB, PostgreSQL etc
- Testing REST API’s using 3rd party frameworks, building test frameworks for APIs.
- Development tools like Maven, Gradle, Git, and others.
- Logging/monitoring tools like Graphite, Kibanna, Grafana, Prometheus etc.
Minimum Qualifications :
- BA/B.Sc. in Computer Science / Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
- 7+ years of experience in commercial software/Test development.
- 4+ years of experience in one or more automation tools (e.g., Selenium, TestNG, Appium, Sauce Labs, Rest Assured, Postman, Cucumber, Jasmine, Protractor, etc.)
- 4+ years of experience in Test Management systems like qTest or similar.
- 2+ years of experience in development languages (e.g., C#, Java, JavaScript, etc.).
- 2+ Defect Management systems like JIRA, TFS, or similar tools.
