We are getting ready to launch and scale a stealth startup, ready to transform the medical aesthetics and beauty space. With funding already in place, this startup is well positioned to disrupt the multi-billion dollar US medical aesthetics market, infusing cutting edge technology and new services into an industry primed for innovation. We are looking for a skilled senior-level web engineer with Node.js skills to join the growing engineering team for this new startup.

What You Will Do:

• Mentor junior engineers in application architecture, code quality, and best practices
• Collaborate on defining internal processes, tools, and application design
• Approve pull requests from other team members
• Build and iterate on a responsive, mobile-first web app
• Design, implement, and consume REST services and APIs
• Implement new features in a highly collaborative environment with product managers, UI/UX experts, and fellow engineers
• Contribute to a future-ready, high quality, and performant code base
• Share your technical solutions and product ideas with the team
• Work with DevOps and QA teams to optimize performance and experience

Who You Are:

• 5+ years software engineering experience with expertise in building responsive sites using JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
• 2+ year(s) of experience with Node.js
• 2+ year(s) of experience with OOP
• Experience creating unit tests
• Experience with software engineering best practices (e.g. Agile software development, Gitflow, continuous integration and delivery, code reviews)

Valued Experience:

• Experience building React Native mobile apps
• Working knowledge of Java or other OOP language
• Experience with AWS, Docker, Kubernetes
