Zipari Security focuses on partnering with stakeholders throughout the company to build, maintain, and operationalize the security of how we protect our customer, workforce and data. We are looking for a VP, Security Operations, responsible for managing an evolving security program. This role will be challenged with complex and simple problems to solve. The ability to understand and solve problems, understanding the “why” is critical. Leverage security skills, experience and communication abilities to meet security standards and expectations and develop solutions to security problems that strike the best balance between security, usability, and convenience.

What You'll Be Doing

• Managing a team of high functioning teams and programs
• Challenging the normal security expectations to create innovative solutions
• Working to define and deliver short, middle, and long term strategies for securing the enterprise
• Partnering with teams throughout the organization to build the relationships and trust to improve the state of security
• Enabling Zipari to deliver on client expectations and roll out security tools at scale
• Securing a DevOps program built on cloud and modern architecture 
• Quickly triaging and making decisions to unblock, and move forward business throughout the company
• Mentoring, coaching and growing team members and peers to fulfill their potential
• Building a program based on analytics built for security logging, monitoring and metrics
• Creating a program to detect and automate response to fraudulent and abusive behavior on our infrastructure and applications

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience working in Security and Infrastructure
• 5+ years of experience managing and mentoring diverse individuals (diverse in both experience and skill set)
• A broad and practical understanding of security fundamentals
• DevOps experience, support agile delivery
• Experience working with teams to evaluate needs, solutions, and guidance.
• Practical knowledge and experience working in public cloud environments (AWS, Salesforce, etc.)
• Experience in creating security strategies and plans to meet business objective
• Eager to build creative solutions to challenging security problems
• Desire to contribute to the security community (open source, public research, blogging, presentations, etc)
