Summary
Provides engineering, metering, design, communication, and software expertise to the Electrical Power Systems (EPS) and Substation Metering organization, as well as adjacent internal and external groups.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Monitors and fulfills internal and external customer requests via mailbox and internet.
- Creates and maintains a library of drawings for the Meter Handbook and other documents, as required.
- Assesses the suitability of requests for non-standard materials.
- Creates, tracks, and closes service orders, as needed.
- Gathers, compiles, and summarizes information for various special projects and conducts special studies, as required.
- Manages various processes and programs in support of EPS Metering.
Skills
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Artificial Intelligence (AI) research and writing assistance tools.
- Ability to use meter programming and communication packages.
- Ability to use mainframe customer and meter systems, including Customer Information System (CIS) and Field Meter Information System (FMIS).
Education & Experience
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.
- 3 or more years of related work experience is required, preferably utility-related experience.
- An associate’s degree in an engineering, drafting, or software discipline is encouraged to apply.
