Responsibilities:

  • Guide, mentor & instruct a talented team of engineers to design, develop, and maintain robust analytics software solutions

  • Foster a collaborative environment where engineers can learn, grow, and contribute their best work

  • Partner with product and business stakeholders to define product vision, roadmap, and technical requirements

  • Assign team members to initiatives to ensure career growth, a deep bench, and timely delivery

  • Translate product vision into actionable engineering plans, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively

  • Oversee the end-to-end software development lifecycle, ensuring quality, scalability, and security

  • Stay up-to-date on cutting-edge technologies in AI (NLP, LLMs, computer vision) & big data and integrate them into the product roadmap where valuable

  • Guide the team in quality delivery, implementing robust automated testing practices (unit, integration, API) to ensure code quality and reliability

  • Utilize monitoring tools like DataDog to ensure performance & reliability, create SLOs, and maintain system health and observability

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, required

  • 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2 years leading or mentoring technical teams

  • Proven experience in high-scale data environments with technologies like Snowflake and Databricks

  • Deep understanding of modern coding languages and best practices

  • Deep understanding of database technologies for analytics & reporting

  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to set clear expectations, provide constructive feedback, and build a cohesive team culture
