About The Role: 

CrowdStrike Falcon is a two-component security product. One component is the sensor, installed on endpoint client systems that observes system activity and recognizes malicious behavior, then provides on-box prevention capability and remote telemetry to the Falcon cloud. The Cloud component aggregates sensor telemetry for each customer’s network and can correlate malicious behavior across multiple machines, presenting our customers’ operations teams with a prioritized summary of the threats detected in their environments.

Join CrowdStrike and become a key leader in building the most innovative endpoint security solution in the world.  As an Engineering Manager for our automation team, you will be expected to have ownership of projects related to ongoing sensor development. Our Sensor Development Experience team is responsible for creating, building and optimizing the pipelines and tools that create our sensor.

Automation team duties include understanding the development and test processes for engineers across multiple platforms and implementing solutions to ensure the validation process is seamless and effective. The team supports tools on multiple platforms. As experts in this area, the team will also be responsible for providing cross-training and best practices to our other sensor engineering teams.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide technical and managerial leadership on the Sensor Development Experience development team. Responsibilities include driving tool strategies, building a product roadmap, mentoring engineers, providing technical guidance and driving projects to completion.

  • Troubleshooting complex sensor test and tooling issues and champion development projects that will help to improve overall sensor reliability, development speed while supporting sensor engineers.

  • Support sensor development teams with service level agreements and operational needs.

  • Collaborate with multi-functional teams in various locations.

What You'll Need:

  • Advanced knowledge of Python across multiple operating systems

  • Demonstrated history of CI/CD design and development

  • Experience in development on Windows, Linux or Mac

  • General knowledge and understanding of C/C++

  • Advanced knowledge of product quality strategies including manual testing, automation, white or black box testing at massive scale

  • Experience working with and leading teams to define and execute on major projects

  • Ability to lead, mentor, communicate, collaborate, partner and work effectively in a distributed team

  • Experience with Jenkins configuration and optimizations

  • Strong background in scalable, light-weight and high performing systems

  • Familiarity and experience with Agile process

  • Knowledge and expertise in the cyber-security landscape

CrowdStrike, Inc. is committed to equal pay for equal work in its compensation practices. The base salary range for this position in the U.S. is $135,000 - $215,000 per year + variable/incentive compensation + equity + benefits. A candidate's salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications, job level, supervisory status, and location.
