Responsibilities

  • Be a hands-on technical leader, guiding a small and nimble engineering team in designing, developing, and deploying core product functionality.

  • Manage, scale and develop the team.

  • Collaborate with key partners including product, data and behavioral health specialists.

  • Ensure that best practices are adhered to during all phases of software development and deployment.

  • Ensure adherence to the highest quality and security standards.

Qualifications

  • 7+ years overall experience including 2+ years management experience.

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in CS, or a related technical field.

  • Experience developing enterprise or consumer web applications.

  • Excellent communication skills across a diverse range of audiences.

  • Demonstrated project management skills.

  • Strong bias to action.

  • Passionate about Lyra’s mission and transforming mental health.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with AI tools and technologies — particularly agentic development and LLMs — and experience applying them to healthcare, personalization, or workflow automation.

  • Prior startup experience.

Core Competencies

  • Technical Leadership: Ability to guide a team in modern engineering practices, architecture decisions, and long-term platform evolution.

  • People Management: Skilled at developing, mentoring, and motivating engineers while fostering a collaborative and inclusive culture.

  • Execution & Delivery: Strong focus on outcomes, with a track record of delivering high-quality, secure, and scalable software.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Comfortable working across Product, Data, and Clinical teams to align technical work with business and user needs.

  • Strategic Thinking: Balances short-term execution with long-term technical vision to support Lyra’s growth.

  • Communication: Clear, concise, and empathetic communicator with diverse stakeholders.
