The ideal candidate must be able to adapt to rapidly changing development and production environments, possess hands on prototyping skills and be familiar with engineering laboratory and machine shop tools, and be proficient reading and interpreting work instructions, mechanical drawings, and schematics. The selected candidate will provide technical support to engineers and scientists on a variety of technical tasks, such as designing, building, testing, and inspecting prototypes and equipment, collecting data in the field, analyzing results, preparing reports, and ensuring projects comply with engineering specifications. Their responsibilities are within the Technical Specialty / Skilled Trade Function as a generalist or in a combination of Disciplines.
Their work often involves utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software and precision measuring instruments to support the development and production process across various engineering disciplines like mechanical, electrical, and optical engineering.

Full-Time Salary Range: $97008 - $164914
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.

Required Education, Experience, & Skills
- Bachelor's degree and 4 years work experience, or High School Diploma or GED and 8 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Strong understanding of engineering principles and practices relevant to their field (e.g., mechanics, electronics, optics engineering)
- Must be able to follow processes and written instructions
- Ability to identify and troubleshoot technical issues
- High level of accuracy in measurements, data recording, and documentation
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and Microsoft Office applications
- Effective written and verbal communication to convey technical information to engineers and other team members
- Ability to collaborate effectively within a team to achieve project goals
- Must be able to lift 20-30lbs.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
- Experience in the aeropace and/or defense industry
- Experience supporting test and verification teams, prototyping jigs and fixtures on a as need basis
- Knowledge of soldering with wire, terminal, through hole PCB, and surface mount
- Solder Certified with experience to J-STD-001 and Mil. Standard IPC-A-610 or ability to become solder certified
- Proficiency in CAD software (CREO preferred)
- Ability to interpret mechanical drawings per ASME Y14.100 and ASME Y14.5
- Be able to set up and operate a variety of machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, shapers, planers, and precision grinders to make metal parts, mechanisms, tools, or machines to exacting tolerances and dimensions. Can modify numerically controlled programs on numerically controlled (NC) machines.
