ABOUT THIS ROLE
The Sales Executive will be responsible for driving revenue growth by identifying, developing, and closing sales opportunities within K-12 school districts, higher education institutions, and educational facilities. This role demands a consultative sales approach, an understanding of the challenges facing educational institutions, and the ability to present tailored solutions that address those needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • **Must live in territory (North East) or in Utah**
  • Market Development: Build and maintain a strong pipeline of opportunities in the K-12 and Higher Education sectors through prospecting, networking, and leveraging industry relationships.
  • Consultative Selling: Engage with decision-makers, including superintendents, school boards, campus safety directors, IT directors, and procurement leaders to uncover needs and align solutions.
  • Account Management: Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact through negotiation and close, ensuring a smooth handoff to the customer success team.
  • Territory Growth: Develop and execute a territory plan that drives both short-term wins and long-term growth.
  • Proposal Development: Create compelling proposals, RFP responses, and presentations customized to each institution’s goals and challenges.
  • Industry Knowledge: Stay informed on industry trends, competitive offerings, and changes in educational safety and technology regulations.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure solutions meet customer requirements and market needs.
  • Reporting: Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and activity reports.
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, ideally within education, public sector, security technology, EdTech, or related fields.
  • Experience selling to K-12 and/or Higher Education decision-makers.
  • Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to engage at both executive and operational levels.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with CRM tools (Salesforce, HubSpot, etc.) and Microsoft Office/Google Workspace.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory.

Preferred:

  • Knowledge of procurement processes and funding sources for educational institutions (e.g., ESSER funds, bond measures, grants).
  • Familiarity with safety, security, or technology solutions for educational settings.
