Who we are and what we do
Contra is building the world’s first professional network for independent creatives and the companies that hire them. We are commission-free, global, and focused on enabling the future of flexible work. Alongside our network and marketplace, we’re launching new product lines including Contra for Companies, Contra Ads Network, and Creative RLHF & Evaluation Services for AI labs and creative-tool companies.
We've raised over $51M from leading investors like NEA, Unusual Ventures, and Cowboy Ventures - and we're just getting started.
About the role:
This is a senior, high-ownership sales role for experienced sellers who know how to close complex, custom deals. You’ll own enterprise-level partnerships focused on performance-driven UGC and content programs, working directly with marketing and leadership teams at high-growth companies.
This is not a transactional AE role. You are expected to run consultative discovery, design custom solutions, and close large, multi-month engagements.
What You’ll Do
- Own the full sales cycle for partnerships and UGC programs, from first conversation through close and expansion
- Lead consultative discovery conversations to deeply understand customer goals, challenges, and constraints
- Design custom partnership and UGC solutions tailored to each customer’s needs rather than selling one-size-fits-all packages
- Sell into enterprise working with marketing, growth, partnerships, and leadership teams
- Act as a strategic partner to customers, advising on UGC strategy, content distribution, performance outcomes, and long-term programs
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to scope, price, and deliver high-impact partnership solutions
- Build long-term relationships that lead to renewals, upsells, and multi-program engagements
- Consistently hit and exceed revenue targets in a high-ownership role
Who You Are
- Highly consultative and customer-centric, with a natural ability to uncover real problems and propose thoughtful solutions
- Comfortable selling complex, custom offerings rather than transactional products
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
- Strategic, but also execution-oriented and accountable to results
- Energized by building something new and helping shape how partnerships and UGC are sold
Required Experience
- 5+ years of experience in sales, partnerships, or account executive roles

- Proven track record of closing enterprise or large mid-market deals
- Strong understanding of UGC, content marketing, and modern distribution channels

Nice to Have
- Experience selling into marketing, growth, or partnerships teams
- Familiarity with creator ecosystems, community-driven growth, or content-led acquisition
- Experience structuring multi-month or annual partnership agreements
