As a Vice President in Enterprise Architecture within the Aladdin Engineering group, you will play a critical role in delivering architecture solutions and modernizing platforms across the asset management ecosystem. This role focuses on hands-on design and implementation, ensuring scalable, resilient, and secure technology that supports investment processes, risk management, and client servicing.
You will collaborate closely with engineering teams and product owners to translate architecture principles into actionable designs, enabling delivery of high-quality solutions aligned with business needs and regulatory obligations.

Build and deliver technology solutions for tomorrow’s challenges
Implement architecture patterns that scale for BlackRock and global clients
Champion best practices and contribute to open-source communities
Deliver high-quality, testable software with continuous innovation
Key Responsibilities:
Solution & Domain Architecture
- Design and implement architecture patterns across:
- o Investment platforms (portfolio management, trading)
- o Data, analytics, and reporting platforms
- o Client servicing and IT operations
- Translate target-state architecture into actionable designs for delivery teams
- Ensure solutions meet performance, security, and compliance requirements
Hands-on Delivery
- Work with engineering teams to implement cloud-native and modular architectures
- Provide technical leadership during development, integration, and deployment
- Review solution designs for consistency, scalability, and reuse
AI Adoption & Implementation
- Drive the integration of AI/ML capabilities into Aladdin platform components
- Collaborate with data science teams to operationalize AI models for investment insights, risk analytics, and client servicing
- Ensure AI solutions adhere to governance, ethical standards, and regulatory compliance
Data & Analytics Enablement
- Implement data models and integration patterns for investment, market, and client data
- Support analytics and risk modelling through robust data architecture
- Apply governance and quality controls in data pipelines
Cloud & Platform Modernization
- Deliver cloud migration and modernization projects in regulated environments
- Implement APIs, event-driven patterns, and microservices for scalability
- Optimize legacy systems for performance and resilience
Technology Governance
- Apply approved architecture standards and patterns in solution delivery
- Participate in design reviews and ensure alignment with enterprise principles
- Contribute to technology rationalization and integration strategies
Risk & Compliance
- Embed security and resilience in solution designs
- Ensure adherence to regulatory and internal risk policies
- Collaborate with Risk, Compliance, and Cybersecurity teams
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelors in computer science/engineering (Masters preferred)
- 7+ years in solution/enterprise architecture or technical leadership roles
- Strong experience in hands-on delivery within financial services
- Familiarity with regulated, high-availability environments
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse stakeholders
Preferred Skills & Experience:
- Expertise in cloud architecture (AWS, Azure, GCP) and hybrid deployments
- Hands-on coding experience (Java, Python, JavaScript) and database design
- Knowledge of APIs, event streaming (Kafka), and distributed systems
- Familiarity with modern design patterns (Microservices, DDD)
- TOGAF or cloud certifications preferred
