Camber builds software to improve the quality and accessibility of healthcare. We streamline and replace manual work so clinicians can focus on what they do best: providing great care. For more details on our thesis, check out our write-up: What is Camber?
We’ve raised $50M in funding from phenomenal supporters at a16z, Craft Ventures, YCombinator, Manresa, and many others who are committed to improving the accessibility of care. For more information, take a look at: Announcing Camber
About our Culture:Our mission to change behavioral health starts with us and how we operate. We don’t want to just change behavioral health, we want to change the way startups operate. Here are a few tactical examples:
1) Improving accessibility and quality of healthcare is something we live and breathe. Everyone on Camber’s team cares deeply about helping clinicians and patients.
2) We have to have a sense of humor. Healthcare is so broken, it's depressing if you don't laugh with us.
About the Role:As a Commercial Strategy Associate, you'll be a sales operator: someone who can research an account, craft a sharp outreach sequence, get a meeting with a CFO, and then help build the business case that wins the deal.
~50% of your time will be top-of-funnel work—researching target accounts, running outbound to senior executives, and booking qualified meetings for our sales team.
~40% of your time will be pre-sales solutions consulting—using Excel, Python, or SQL to analyze prospect data, build ROI models, and create the narratives that help executive buyers say yes.
~10% of your time will be general GTM problem-solving—helping us iterate on what's working, identify gaps, and improve how we go to market.
You'll need to understand how CFOs and operational leaders think, what they care about, and how to earn their attention. This is a problem-solving role where the problem is: how do we get this deal done?
What you'll do:Top-of-Funnel Execution (~50%)
Own outbound to CFOs, COOs, and senior operational leaders at target accounts
Research companies and executives to craft high-signal, personalized outreach
Develop account-specific strategies—not spray-and-pray campaigns
Map stakeholders and understand internal buying dynamics
Book qualified meetings and hand off to Enterprise Account Executives
Iterate on messaging based on what's working and what's not
Pre-Sales Solutions Consulting (~40%)
Analyze financial and operational data using Excel, Python, or SQL
Build ROI models that quantify Camber's impact on collections, efficiency, and revenue
Support discovery and diagnostics with structured analysis
Translate data into clear, executive-ready narratives
Partner with Enterprise AEs to use analysis as a selling tool
GTM Problem-Solving (~10%)
Identify what's working and what's not in our outbound and sales motions
Contribute to playbooks, templates, and frameworks that make our GTM engine repeatable
Help standardize how we use data to support enterprise sales
Solve ad hoc problems that don't fit neatly into a bucket
You might be a strong fit if you:
Have 1–3 years of experience in consulting, investment banking, VC/PE, or a sales/GTM role at a startup
Want to build a career in sales
Have experience working with or selling to CFOs, finance leaders, or senior executives—you understand how they think and what they care about
Are proficient in Excel, Python, or SQL—at least one is required
Are a problem solver who figures things out rather than waiting for instructions
Thrive in fast-moving, ambiguous environments
Confidence engaging senior executives and comfort with outbound
Strong commercial instincts and genuine curiosity about how businesses work
Analytical skills (Excel, Python, or SQL) applied to real sales problems
Ability to translate analysis into persuasive, executive-level storytelling
Adaptability—you've worn different hats and can context-switch quickly
