Hope Mission Statement
The mission of Hope the Mission is to prevent, reduce and eliminate poverty, hunger, and homelessness by offering immediate assistance and long-term solutions.
Position Purpose and Summary
Hope the Mission's technology has to work. Across dozens of sites, staff rely on functioning networks, devices, and systems to serve people experiencing homelessness every day. When something fails, the mission slows down. The IT Manager is the person who keeps that from happening.
Reporting to the Director of IT, the IT Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Hope the Mission's technology infrastructure. This includes installing and maintaining hardware and software across Mac and PC platforms, troubleshooting networks, servers, printers, cameras, and alarm systems, managing employee access control including keycard issuance, onboarding, and offboarding, maintaining IT inventory, providing technical support to staff, and supporting IT project implementation. The IT Manager supervises IT Specialists and serves as the escalation point for time-sensitive issues across HTM locations.
This role operates at the intersection of hands-on technical work and team leadership. The IT Manager is not waiting for problems to be reported. They are auditing systems on schedule, maintaining inventory before shortages occur, and resolving security gaps before they affect operations. Travel across HTM locations is a regular part of the work.
