The Equipment Engineer will enhance product quality and reliability by optimizing processes, troubleshooting manufacturing issues, managing equipment evaluations, and coordinating improvements in semiconductor production.

Responsible for starting up, developing and optimizing processes to improve product quality and reliability, working on process yield improvement, cost reduction, productivity improvement and risk management as well as resolving manufacturing line problems. Identify, diagnose and resolve process related problems by applying failure analysis, FMEA, 8D or SPC methodology. Coordinate and carry out process, equipment and material evaluation/optimization to implement changes at process step, lead and participate in yield improvement and cost reduction activities, handle new process baseline qualifications and manage, audit and liaise with material suppliers to achieve quality, cost and risk management objectives. Establish and improve process conditions and technology. Upgrade process capability and reduce production cost. Establish and modify process management projects. Set up process parameters for a variety of semiconductor equipment. Evaluation, promotion and planning of new equipment / materials. Perform abnormal analysis and improvement. Troubleshoots wafer fabrication problems and perform root cause analysis. Work with other process areas to understand and control process deviations. Evaluate products to ensure they meet the required design and performance specifications. Conduct research to assess process adjustment requirements and recommend process improvements or equipment changes needed to efficiently manufacture new products or part types.
Employer will accept a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field and 3 years of experience in the job offered or in an Equipment Engineer-related occupation.
