In this role, you will:
- Demonstrate subject matter knowledge within the Auto and Auto Parts sector and a strong understanding of the companies within the sector
- Conduct rigorous analysis of financial statements and industry, company, and market data sets
- Create and update financial models and databases
- Author, with Senior Analyst, differentiated research content on companies and industry themes
- Attend company and industry events; cultivate relationships with covered companies and industry contacts
- Communicate research conclusions to internal and external constituents
- Collaborate with research peers to support the generation of cross-sector research content
- Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Securities Research experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
- A BS/BA or higher
- Direct experience in the Autos and Auto Parts sector or prior equity research coverage of this industry
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint) skills
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge and understanding of financial statement analysis
- Knowledge and understanding of accounting principles in the capital markets industry
- Knowledge and understanding of investment tools such as Bloomberg or FactSet application
Job Expectations:
- Up to 10% travel
- Registration for FINRA Securities Industry Essentials (SIE) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 86 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- Registration for FINRA Series 87 must be completed within 180 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted
- This position is subject to FINRA background screening requirements. Candidates must successfully complete and pass a background check prior to hire.
