Description

At Coretek, we transform how organizations empower their workforce through secure, scalable, and modern digital workspaces. As a Coretek EUC Support Engineer, you'll play a critical role in our L3/L4 team, supporting enterprise clients and delivering projects related to high-performance virtual desktop experiences leveraging technologies such as Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Nerdio, and Citrix.

You'll help Coretek clients succeed by combining deep technical expertise with a commitment to service excellence. Leveraging modern tools and practices—including Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation—you’ll ensure our clients' environments remain reliable, secure, and aligned with industry best practices. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a cloud-first, customer-obsessed environment where innovation, accountability, and impact drive everything we do.

This role blends level 3/4 project-based work with operations and managed services engineering, supporting both daily incidents and long-term platform health, governance, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide operational support for managed Citrix and AVD environments, including daily health checks, patching, upgrades, and incident remediation
  • Administer and optimize Nerdio Manager for Enterprise and Citrix Director/Studio configurations
  • Manage Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Gateway (NetScaler), and endpoint management integrations
  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for environment automation (Terraform, Ansible, Packer, or Nerdio automation scripting)
  • Monitor, analyze, and improve system performance, availability, and security posture across environments
  • Deploy and enforce group policies, security baselines, and compliance configurations
  • Develop and maintain standardized operational documentation, runbooks, and support playbooks
  • Collaborate with internal architects and client stakeholders to ensure platform integrity and alignment with SLAs
  • Participate in DR planning, testing, and execution for hosted EUC environments
  • Respond to escalated tickets and serve as a technical escalation point for L1/L2 support teams
  • Provide mentoring and knowledge transfer to junior engineers and technicians
Requirements
  • 2–5 years of experience in supporting Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops or Azure Virtual Desktop in a managed services or enterprise environment
  • Hands-on experience with:
    1. Citrix Suite: Studio, Director, NetScaler (Gateway), Citrix Policy, Machine Catalogs, Delivery Groups
    2. Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) deployments and management
    3. Nerdio Manager for Enterprise (preferred)
  • Proficiency with IaC tools such as Terraform, Ansible, Packer, or PowerShell scripting
  • Experience with Azure Resource Manager (ARM) and virtual networking in Microsoft Azure
  • Familiarity with endpoint management and thin client configurations (e.g., Stratodesk, IGEL, Unicon)
  • Solid understanding of Group Policy Objects (GPO), Active Directory, and Windows desktop/server internals
  • Exposure to ITSM ticketing tools (ServiceNow, Remedy, etc.)
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex issues independently and communicate clearly with customers
  • Experience with Imprivata support and implementation, including integration with virtual desktops and authentication workflows is a plus

Preferred Skills:

  • Microsoft certifications (AZ-104, AZ-140, or Citrix Certified Associate – Virtualization)
  • Experience with Citrix Cloud services and hybrid configurations
  • Understanding of Zero Trust, conditional access, and modern endpoint security integrations
  • Experience automating repetitive admin tasks or builds via Nerdio Runbooks or similar tools

What We Offer:

  • Collaborative, cloud-native engineering environment
  • Exposure to cutting-edge EUC and automation technologies
  • Opportunities for growth into architecture or automation leadership
  • Competitive salary, remote flexibility, and full benefits
