The Opportunity:

Collider is seeking an Events Manager who is driven to succeed, highly organized, and passionate about curating memorable experiences. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event planning, logistics, and creative execution. This role involves overseeing the planning and execution of industry events, from panel discussions and live screenings to networking mixers and major entertainment gatherings..

As an Events Manager, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating both in-person and virtual events that align with Collider’s brand and engage our audience. You’ll work closely with internal teams, sponsors, and vendors to ensure smooth execution and memorable experiences. Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute engaging events, including industry panels, live interviews, and networking mixers.
  • Develop and manage event budgets, ensuring efficiency and maximizing ROI.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align events with Collider’s editorial and brand strategy.
  • Secure venues, vendors, sponsors, and talent to enhance event experiences.
  • Handle event logistics, including scheduling, staffing, AV setup, and guest accommodations.
  • Promote events through marketing, social media, and partnerships.
  • Manage event registrations, ticketing, and attendee engagement strategies.
  • Ensure seamless execution of events, addressing any real-time challenges.
  • Track event performance metrics and collect feedback for future improvements.
  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging event technologies.
Qualifications:
  • Relevant experience in event planning, production, or management.
  • Broad knowledge of the entertainment industry and pop culture landscape.
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple events simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Experience working with vendors, sponsors, and high-profile talent.
  • Familiarity with event management platforms and tools.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and maintain organization under pressure.
  • A solid grasp of the English language and ability to communicate ideas effectively.
