Focus: Sponsored & Community Events

Hue is seeking an experienced, hands-on, detail-driven Freelance Events Producer to independently plan and execute sponsored and community events from start to finish. This role owns the full lifecycle of each event — from concept and logistics through on-site execution and post-event wrap-up — without outsourcing to an external agency.

This is an execution-heavy role for a senior producer who thrives on ownership, managing complex logistics, and delivering high-quality brand experiences on time and on budget. This role is not suited for junior coordinators or agency-side account roles.

Responsibilities

End-to-End Event Production

  • Plan, produce, and execute a range of events including intimate dinners, cocktail mixers, and larger programs such as luncheons or award-style events.
  • You are comfortable being accountable for every operational detail, not just the vision.
  • Own all logistics: timelines, run of show, budgets, vendor coordination, staffing, rentals, and on-site execution.
  • Manage venue sourcing, walkthroughs, contracts, and load-in/load-out.

Sponsored Event Execution

  • Translate sponsor objectives into seamless event execution (signage, programming moments, integrations, and deliverables).
  • Come to the table with creativity — offering event element and activation ideation that is fresh, modern and unique — helping Hue events stand out from the competition
  • Ensure sponsor requirements are met clearly and professionally, without compromising guest experience.
  • Coordinate with org leadership to ensure alignment on scope, expectations, and timelines.

Vendor & Partner Management

  • Source, negotiate, and manage vendors including catering, rentals, AV, florals, photographers, and event staff.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all vendors and on-site personnel.
  • Track budgets and invoices to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency.

Guest & Experience Management

  • Support guest experience logistics such as check-in flow, seating plans, gifting, and day-of hospitality.
  • Anticipate and solve problems quickly and calmly during live events.
  • Ensure events feel polished, intentional, and aligned with the Hue brand.

Post-Event Wrap-Up

  • Oversee event breakdown and vendor wrap-up.
  • Collect feedback, recap outcomes, and support post-event reporting as needed.

Qualifications

  • 4–7 years of hands-on event production experience (agency, brand, or independent).
  • Proven ability to independently manage events from concept through execution.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Comfortable managing multiple vendors and budgets simultaneously.
  • Calm, professional, and solutions-oriented under pressure.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Available to work nights and weekends as required for events.

Engagement Details

  • Type: Freelance / Contract
  • Rate: $50–$90 per hour, depending on experience and scope
  • Location: New York, with potential to travel to other locations for key events
  • Timeline: Project-based, ongoing as events are scheduled

This role is ideal for a producer who wants true ownership, autonomy, and accountability — someone who can take a brief and deliver a complete, well-executed event without relying on an outside agency.
