The Legal & Compliance Group is composed of a diverse and talented set of experts in the fields of law, banking, finance, compliance, ethics, technology and operations who help guide the Federal Reserve’s critical monetary policy and financial services operations. The Legal & Compliance Group has three separate Functions: The Compliance Function, the Group Operations & Strategy (GOAS) Function and the Legal Function each with additional divisions and subject matter expertise providing legal advice, compliance guidance and operational processes.
As an Executive Assistant you will provide administrative and operational support to the General Counsel, Head of the Legal & Compliance Group and to the Bank’s Legal & Compliance Group more generally. The Executive Assistant acts as the primary point of contact between the General Counsel and internal and external parties. Through the coordination and management of meetings, events and communications, the Executive Assistant is responsible for integrating and triaging a flow of information to and from the General Counsel that supports the issuance of legal advice, resolution of compliance issues and maintenance of operational priorities.
The Executive Assistant also serves as a point of contact and ambassador between the General Counsel and the Bank population at large. The Executive Assistant provides operational support to the General Counsel in connection with Federal Open Market Committee (FOMC) related responsibilities and other internal and external engagements; potentially provides contingency support to the President’s Office; and manages group wide events including tri-annual Town Halls, Function Head and Senior Leadership Team meetings with the General Counsel and coordinates the flow of information from the Legal & Compliance Group to the Bank’s Executive Committee and Board of Directors.
How You’ll Make an Impact as an Executive Assistant, Legal & Compliance Group:
Understand the daily, near term and annual priorities of the Bank and the Legal & Compliance Group, and work with those inside and outside of the Bank to ensure the priorities of the General Counsel’s office can be met, including a full range of executive management and office management activities.
Heavy schedule and calendar management to respond to ever-changing needs including coordination among multiple departments.
Coordinate complex travel arrangements, execute reimbursement processes and maintain travel log for all travel.
Work with other Executive Assistants to ensure cohesive operations across the Executive Suite.
Read and prioritize large quantities of email and internal correspondence to ensure prompt responses where warranted. Provide telephone coverage. Channel information or requests for information to the appropriate members of the Bank. Monitor email messages, log and organize all incoming material. Work independently prioritizing and communicating the activities of the Office during business travel.
Suggest process improvements and continually seek greater efficiency and effectiveness.
Serve as the key point of contact and facilitates the flow of information between the General Counsel, executive management, senior management, staff, and other stakeholders while exercising discretion and prioritization
Develop spreadsheets, tables and charts as needed for tracking and informational purposes
Compose, proofread and format memos, emails, presentations, reports and related support briefing materials for internal and external communication; take minutes during meetings; create and update organizational charts, and other items in Visio and in PowerPoint
Maintain records in the legal document management system
Provide back-up support to other Executive and Administrative Assistants.
Ad-hoc assignments and projects, as necessary
The Unique Skill Sets We’re Looking For:
Must be a self-starter, with excellent attention to detail and follow-up skills. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple assignments, meet deadlines, coordinate multiple calendars and schedule a high-volume of internal and external meetings; work independently and follow through to resolve day-to-day administrative matters
Proven ability to interact with all levels of management, including high-level official contacts and visitors
Excellent judgment and discretion in handling sensitive data and confidential information
Ability to work with minimum supervision and guidance, excellent prioritization and organizational skills
Interested in working with Artificial Intelligence to improve business processes.
Excellent at leveraging technology, including, proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio and Teams) and other Bank applications used by the Administrative Team, such as Workday and SharePoint

Salary Range: $125000 - $145000 / year
