JOB DESCRIPTION

FOX News Media is looking for a highly organized, proactive, and confident Executive Assistant to support the EVP of News Programming. This is an outstanding opportunity for someone with a passion for journalism and the television news industry who is eager to build a long-term career in news.

In this fast-paced role, you'll manage an ever-changing schedule, coordinate priorities, and ensure the day runs seamlessly. You'll interact with a diverse group of both internal and external stakeholders while handling highly confidential information with professionalism and discretion.  The ideal candidate is resourceful, takes initiative, thrives under pressure, and is excited to launch their career in the news industry.

A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide high-level administrative support to the EVP of News Programming across daily priorities, projects, and initiatives

  • Manage a complex and constantly changing calendar, ensuring meetings, deadlines, and priorities stay on track

  • Screen and manage incoming phone calls, visitors, and requests, exercising sound judgment and professionalism

  • Research, prioritize, and follow up on time-sensitive issues and action items

  • Prepare, review, and distribute confidential correspondence, business updates, meeting notes, presentations, and other materials

  • Support editorial operations by helping identify and organize important news content and clipping reporter segments as needed

  • Coordinate business travel, itineraries, and logistics, and process expense reports

  • Complete special projects and other responsibilities as assigned

WHAT YOU WILL NEED

  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience

  • Prior administrative or executive support experience in a fast-paced environment preferred

  • Outstanding organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to anticipate needs before they arise

  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment and handle highly confidential information with discretion

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks, adapt quickly to changing priorities, and meet tight deadlines

  • A proactive, positive attitude with a willingness to take initiative and go above and beyond

  • Flexibility to adjust work hours as needed to support special events and business functions

  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $23.50-27.65 per hour. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
