The Executive Director, Sales is a senior, consultative sales leader responsible for driving revenue growth across a portfolio of top enterprise clients and agency partners. This role requires a strategic, solutions-oriented seller with a strong understanding of the technology landscape, capable of translating complex client needs into integrated, multi-platform programs that deliver measurable business outcomes.

This individual brings a strong growth mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a hunger to continuously learn - identifying new revenue opportunities and evolving with a fast-changing media and technology landscape. As a senior representative of Forbes, this role will act as a brand ambassador in-market, building trusted relationships and elevating Forbes’ voice with senior decision-makers.

Responsibilities

  • Own and grow a portfolio of enterprise client and agency relationships, engaging senior stakeholders across multiple business functions
  • Drive revenue across all Forbes platforms, including digital media, branded content, social, video, and live events
  • Develop and execute strategic account plans to achieve and exceed annual revenue goals while maintaining a robust pipeline
  • Identify and unlock new revenue opportunities through proactive, creative, and insight-driven selling
  • Act as a trusted advisor, aligning client business objectives with integrated marketing solutions
  • Lead high-impact client engagements, delivering compelling presentations and innovative ideas
  • Manage complex negotiations and large-scale, multi-channel deals
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with editorial, content, strategy, and marketing teams to deliver best-in-class programs
  • Stay ahead of industry trends, particularly across technology, AI, and enterprise innovation
  • Deliver exceptional client service and drive long-term partnership growth across a large book of business
  • Serve as a Forbes ambassador in the marketplace, including representing the brand at client meetings, industry events, and thought leadership opportunities
  • Travel as needed to support client engagement and business growth

The ideal candidate

  • 7–10 years of advertising sales experience, preferably within integrated media
  • Experience in the technology category strongly preferred
  • Proven track record of managing and growing large enterprise accounts and complex books of business
  • Demonstrated success selling multi-platform solutions across digital, branded content, social, video, and experiential
  • Strong creative thinking and problem-solving skills, with a proactive, growth-oriented mindset
  • Demonstrated curiosity and commitment to continuous learning and development
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with executive-level presence
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, evolving environment while managing multiple priorities
  • Highly collaborative, with experience working across cross-functional teams
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

The annual base salary range for this role is $175,000 - $190,000

Forbes has estimated the compensation range set forth above in good faith.  The compensation range is what we believe we will offer, and ultimately pay, a successful candidate.  In determining this range, we consider the experience, level of education (if applicable to the role), knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be had by a successful candidate as well as the budget and the company’s pay rates, generally.
