The Role
We are seeking an Executive Vice President (EVP) to lead a marquee personal care client, overseeing both masterbrand and category-specific initiatives. This role is ideal for a proven leader with a passion for building efficient, high-performing teams, identifying new business opportunities, and delivering integrated, creative, award-winning and results-driven work across a complex matrix of stakeholders.
The EVP will bring deep expertise in beauty and personal care, coupled with a strong foundation in advertising client service and an understanding of the end-to-end production process. You’ll serve as a senior strategic partner, working across global brand architecture and category teams to drive brand consistency, excellence, and growth.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Serve as the senior lead for the client relationship, setting strategic direction and ensuring programs ladder up to business objectives across masterbrand and category portfolios.
- Team Building & Management: Build and lead multidisciplinary teams that operate efficiently, collaborate seamlessly, and consistently deliver excellence. Identify and implement operational improvements to optimize resourcing and delivery.
- Client Growth & Business Development: Identify and capitalize on new opportunities to expand Edelman’s remit across channels and categories, driving incremental revenue and long-term client partnership.
- Integrated Marketing Excellence: Partner across creative, digital, paid media, and influencer teams to develop innovative end-to-end marketing and communications programs that inspire audiences and drive results.
- Production & Execution Oversight: Guide the development and deployment of creative assets, ensuring alignment between strategy, testing, production, and trafficking.
- Financial Stewardship: Oversee account profitability, ensuring fiscal responsibility and implementing efficiencies to maintain margins.
- Thought Leadership: Provide clients with senior-level counsel on emerging trends, cultural relevance, and communications strategies that move brand reputation and business outcomes forward.
Key Attributes:
- A charismatic and strategic leader who inspires trust, collaboration, and creative excellence.
- Highly organized and solutions-oriented, with the ability to balance creative ambition with operational rigor
- Passionate about the intersection of culture, commerce, and communications — and how beauty brands can lead the conversation on social, in retail and in society at large
- Equally comfortable developing big ideas and navigating complex client organizations.
- Resilient, proactive, and adept at managing through ambiguity with clarity and poise.
- A natural mentor who invests in team development and fosters a culture of inclusivity and performance.
- Strong decision maker who thrives in a fast-paced environment
Basic Qualifications:
- 15+ years of experience in communications, brand marketing, or integrated advertising roles — ideally with strong beauty or personal care experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing large, matrixed client organizations and complex brand portfolios – agency or in-house
- Expertise in leading full funnel advertising production processes, including creative development, testing, and trafficking.
- Experience with paid and owned social campaign content creation and understand their role in content plans and rollout (a plus if you have worked with social-first or DTC born brands)
- Ability to help drive and manage truly omnichannel campaigns ( i.e. start on social, end in physical retail)
- Experience with creator-driven or influencer-led campaigns and activations
- Be both a strategic thinker and a ‘Doer’ - help work the work
- Demonstrated success in growing client business and achieving financial targets.
- Skilled at crafting and delivering persuasive, insights-driven presentations and creative narratives.
- Collaborative mindset with experience managing large integrated teams.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to balance creativity, client satisfaction, and operational efficiency
