Your Role
Gensler’s Brand Experience Design Studio is driven by strategic thinking, multidisciplinary talent, and a commitment to bringing people together through the power of storytelling. We use immersive technology, art, and thoughtful interactions to create richly layered, inhabitable stories that forge lasting emotional connections.
We are seeking an Experience Designer who is equally comfortable thinking big and making things real. This role is for a strategic thinker who can move fluidly across 2D and 3D, digital and physical, and across scales ranging from intimate interactive moments to city-scale experience frameworks.
What You Will Do
Design experiences that integrate story, space, interaction, and technology
Develop ideas through research, prototyping, visualization, and iteration
Contribute to both strategic thinking and hands-on making, from early ideas through execution
Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teammates including designers, architects, technologists, fabricators, and clients
Translate complex ideas into clear, compelling experiences and design artifacts
Take ownership of your work, manage priorities, and push projects forward with confidence and curiosity
Who You Are
A self-starter with strong follow-through and a bias toward making
Excited by both conceptual problem-solving and detailed execution
Comfortable working across physical environments, digital interfaces, and hybrid experiences
A strategic thinker who understands how design decisions ladder up to larger goals
Curious, collaborative, and generous with ideas
Adaptable and energized by working across different sectors, audiences, and contexts
Your Qualifications
3–10 years of professional experience in experience design, exhibition design, environmental design, interaction design, architecture, industrial design, or a related field
Strong portfolio demonstrating work across experiences, environments, and/or interactive systems
Excellent visual communication skills (sketching, diagrams, modeling, storytelling)
Experience with common design and prototyping tools
Clear communicator who can explain ideas to team members and clients alike
*For consideration, you must submit a portfolio and your resume.
**The base salary range will be estimated between $85-110k plus bonuses and benefits, contingent on relevant experience.
