About the Role

We are looking for a professional Switchboard Legal Receptionist to serve as the first point of contact for all calls and visitors. This role is critical in ensuring smooth communication and efficient routing of calls and inquiries within our firm. This position will be based full-time in the Midtown Manhattan office 5x per week.

You Will:

  • Manage a multi-line phone system, answering all incoming calls promptly and direct calls to the appropriate departments or staff members with accuracy.
  • Greet clients, visitors, and vendors professionally. Notify appropriate staff of visitor arrivals and ensure they are directed to the correct location.
  • Handle basic administrative duties, such as sorting and routing incoming mail, manage outgoing mail and packages, assist with stocking the kitchen, and maintaining the reception areas cleanliness and organization.
  • Notify attorneys and staff of scheduled client arrivals.
  • Maintain the highest level of discretion when handling client or firm information.
  • Utilize phone and communication systems efficiently and stay updated on internal staff directories.

You Have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of receptionist or switchboard experience in a legal or professional services environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook) and familiarity with phone system technology.
  • Fluency in Spanish highly preferred.

Salary Range: $26.00-$31.00 per hour

The quoted salary range represents our good faith estimate as to what our ideal candidates are likely to expect, and we tailor our offers within the range based on the selected candidate's experience, industry knowledge, location, technical and communication skills, and other factors that may prove relevant during the interview process.
