Location: Remote/Hybrid (US-based, DC Metro Area). In-person expectations include visits with customers, Salesforce offices, and Thunder offices in Tysons Corner, VA.

Role Summary:
We’re seeking a QA Specialist who plays a key role in driving the successful delivery of complex Federal Salesforce Public Sector solutions by ensuring the highest standards of platform integrity. This role is accountable for testing functionality, performance, and security to ensure a high-quality, mission-ready product.
Working closely with the Program Manager and Technical Architects, the QA Specialist ensures that every release meets mission objectives and rigorous contractual requirements. This position requires strong governance, planning capabilities, and experience operating within the rigorous security and compliance standards of cleared Federal delivery environments.
Responsibilities:
- Comprehensive Testing: Lead the design and implementation of test plans covering functionality, performance, and security to meet stringent Federal requirements.
- Security & Compliance QA: Ensure all technical deliverables and Salesforce environments comply with Federal security standards and reporting requirements.
- Risk Mitigation: Identify and escalate critical technical risks and issues proactively, implementing strategic mitigation strategies to ensure overall program success.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with architects, developers, and Business Analysts (BAs) to validate that Salesforce Public Sector initiatives align with technical architecture.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on quality performance metrics through transparent, timely communication and program dashboards for Federal clients.
- Innovation Validation: Stay updated with the latest Salesforce trends—including Agentforce and Government Cloud Plus—to validate innovative solutions for Federal clients.
Qualifications:
- US Citizenship Required, with ability and willingness to obtain security clearance(s).
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 7-10+ years of IT quality assurance or project management experience, preferably in large-scale Federal environments.
- 3-5+ years of proven experience testing programs that utilize Salesforce Government Cloud Plus, Service Cloud, and/or Experience Cloud.
- Technical Knowledge: Working knowledge of Agentforce and Salesforce AI capabilities, including the ability to validate autonomous agents within a secure environment.
- Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams in cleared delivery environments.
- Strategic Thinking: Strong strategic planning, governance, and organizational skills to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Certifications: PMP, CSM, or ISTQB certification preferred.

At Thunder, we are committed to pay equity and transparency. The annual salary range for this position is $90,000 to $145,000 and represents the national base pay targets for this role across all U.S. locations. This disclosed range does not include additional compensation components such as discretionary bonuses, equity, or our standard employee benefits package. Actual individual pay decisions are based on a rigorous assessment of job-related factors, including the candidate’s geographic location, relevant certifications, and specific level of professional experience.
