About the role

Hybrid role with travel to customer sites as needed - based in San Francisco, CA or New York, NY

We are seeking a Field Deployment Engineer with deep expertise in Kubernetes, cloud platforms, and AI/ML infrastructure to guide enterprise customers through successful implementation and adoption of LangChain's agent platform. The ideal candidate will combine strong technical infrastructure knowledge with exceptional customer-facing skills to deploy, integrate, and optimize AI solutions that meet our customers' unique requirements at scale.

• Deploy and integrate LangChain's agent platform in customer environments, ensuring successful production implementations

• Execute hands-on deployment of infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes, Helm, and Docker across customer cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Lead on-site and remote deployment activities, troubleshooting, and optimization for enterprise customers

• Develop and implement CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, and deployment automation for customer AI applications

• Provide hands-on technical support during critical deployment phases and production rollouts

• Create and maintain deployment scripts, automation tools, and configuration management for repeatable customer deployments

• Conduct technical training and knowledge transfer sessions to ensure customer teams can maintain and operate deployed solutions

• Document deployment procedures, runbooks, and operational best practices specific to customer environments

• Collaborate with customers to implement high availability, disaster recovery, security, and compliance requirements

• Serve as the field technical expert, escalating complex issues and feeding deployment insights back to product teams

• Support proof-of-concepts and pilot deployments to demonstrate platform capabilities in customer environments

How to be successful in this role

• At least 3 years of experience in a technical deployment or field engineering role (Field Engineer, Deployment Engineer, Implementation Engineer, or similar) with infrastructure focus

• Deep hands-on expertise in Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, and container orchestration in production environments

• Strong experience deploying and managing applications on major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)

• Proficiency in infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.) with ability to implement in diverse customer environments

• Experience building and deploying CI/CD pipelines in enterprise settings

• Strong scripting and automation skills (Python, Bash, Go, or similar)

• Excellent troubleshooting and debugging skills for complex distributed systems in live customer environments

• Customer-facing experience with ability to work independently at customer sites

• Strong communication skills to translate between technical implementation details and business requirements

• Comfortable with hands-on technical work and ability to context-switch between multiple customer deployments

• Ability to travel up to 40% to customer sites for deployments and on-site support

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experiences.

Actual compensation will vary based on role, level, and location. For team members in the EU and UK, we provide locally competitive benefits aligned with regional norms and regulations.

• Annual salary range: $135,000-$165,000 USD, $155,000-$195,000 USD for Senior Engineer candidates
