We are hiring a Finance Analyst to join a lean finance organization responsible for building and operating the core financial processes of a growing business. The role is designed for someone who wants hands-on ownership of financial operations – understanding how contracts, transactions, and operational decisions move through systems and become the financial reporting used by leadership and the board. You will work closely with finance leadership, own defined components of the monthly close and forecasting process, and help design the controls, workflows, and reporting infrastructure that ensure our numbers are accurate, consistent, and decision-ready as the company scales.
Core Responsibilities
Financial Operations & Month End Close:
- Own defined components of the monthly close process, including preparation, review, and variance analysis, in partnership with Accounting and Finance leadership
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency of financial data across close schedules, financial statements, and supporting analyses.
- Investigate discrepancies and root causes in financial results; drive process improvements to prevent recurring issues
- Support revenue recognition, accruals, and operational finance workflows tied to how the business operates
Forecasting, Planning, and Analysis:
- Help design, document, and improve financial processes that support scalable, repeatable reporting
- Maintain and improve financial models, reporting templates, and system workflows to reduce manual effort and errors
- Partner with Accounting and Operations to ensure financial systems reflect business reality and reporting needs
- Strengthen controls and data integrity as the company grows in complexity
Business Metrics & Reporting:
- Maintain core financial and operating metrics used by leadership and the board
- Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting that is accurate, timely, and decision-ready
- Ensure alignment between financial reporting, operational metrics, and source systems
Cross-Functional & Strategic Support:
- Support cross-functional initiatives by providing financial insight grounded in how the business operates
- Assist with ad hoc analyses related to pricing, ROI, headcount planning, and investment decisions
- Act as a reliable finance partner to stakeholders across the organization
Qualifications
- 1-2 + years of experience in finance, accounting, consulting, banking, or a related analytical role
- Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills and comfort working with detailed, imperfect data
- Solid understanding of financial statements and how underlying activity translates into reported results
- Exposure to forecasting, budgeting, month-end close, or comparable analytical processes
- Ability to take ownership of workstreams, investigate issues, and follow them through to resolution
- Interested in operating within a growing business where financial processes are actively being built and improved
