Summary
The TekniPlex Fiber Finance team is seeking a motivated summer to support our Finance Division with analytical projects focused on working capital and inventory management. This role offers hands-on exposure to financial modeling, operational finance, and performance measurement, working closely with finance and supply chain stakeholders. The intern will contribute to improving visibility into cash flow drivers and operational efficiency through data-driven analysis and KPI development.
Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:
- Understand current working capital and cash flow drivers in our business
- Help construct and enhance financial models related to working capital, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, and inventory
- Analyze inventory practices and performance, including turnover, aging, and demand variability
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to working capital and inventory optimization
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement in working capital and inventory processes
- Prepare clear, concise analyses and visualizations for presentation to finance leadership
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Supply Chain, Operations, and Accounting
- Assist with ad hoc financial analysis and process improvement initiatives as needed
Minimum Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements: Current pursuit of a full-time undergraduate degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics
- Experience in financial modeling and use of Excel
- Demonstrated initiative, uncompromised integrity, and a results-oriented mindset
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Acute attention to detail with strong quantitative and analytical skills
- Strong motivation and work ethic and the ability to work independently, ability to balance multiple projects and competing deadlines
