TaxGPT · Remote (US) · Full-time
TaxGPT is revolutionizing the tax and accounting space with AI-driven solutions tailored for accountants, tax professionals, and SMBs. We are building an AI co-pilot to transform tax workflows, drive efficiency, and simplify compliance. Recently named one of Business Insider's 30 Early-Stage Startups Most Likely to Become Tech's Next Unicorns, we would love for you to join our growing team.
We are looking for a Finance & Revenue Operations Lead to own the systems, data, and rhythm behind TaxGPT's revenue engine. We have grown fast on a motion that combines sales-led and self-serve, supported by a fast-scaling team. As we continue to grow, we are investing in a dedicated owner for the operational and financial layer: a unified view of revenue across our systems and the books, a forecast leadership can use, and automation that lets a lean team punch far above its weight.
You will own revenue operations and financial reporting end to end, working daily with sales leadership and partnering closely with our CEO and CRO. In your first quarter, you will take ownership of our internal systems, establish a forecasting and reporting cadence, and build the funnel and revenue reporting that shows us where deals accelerate, where they slow, and what drives wins. You will run the financial data behind our internal dashboards, board and investor reporting, and you'll be the go-to person for the team's questions about revenue, billing, and financials.
This is a builder role with real ownership: the systems you design become how TaxGPT sells, reports, and learns.
- 5+ years in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, Finance Operations, or GTM Engineering at B2B SaaS companies, ideally through a scale-up phase.
- Expert-level HubSpot and Stripe skills: you have owned an instance, not just worked in one. That includes subscription and usage-based billing, invoicing, and connecting billing data to the CRM and the ledger.
- Demonstrated success using AI tools and models to multiply a team's output, with good judgment about where AI can and can't be trusted with financial data.
- You have built forecasting, planning, funnel, or financial reporting that leadership actually ran on, including reporting for a board or investors.
- Working knowledge of SaaS metrics and revenue recognition fundamentals.
- Comfortable owning revenue and finance systems: you set your own roadmap and hold your own with sales leaders, marketing, and founders.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with the self-direction to drive adoption with minimal oversight and to explain financial data plainly to non-finance teammates.
- Proficient with collaboration tools like Slack, Google Workspace, and Fathom.
- Experience building a RevOps or finance operations function from scratch.
- SQL skills for pulling your own answers out of the data, and experience with a BI tool.
- Familiarity with subscription analytics workflows and with accounting systems
- Exposure to PLG funnels and product usage data in a sales-assist motion.
- Experience building or evaluating AI agents, retrieval systems, or internal knowledge bases.
- CPA, Big 4, or consulting background (a plus, not required).
A strong Finance & Revenue Operations Lead in this role:
- Owns the revenue operating rhythm: weekly pipeline reviews with sales leadership, coverage and conversion reporting, and a forecast the board can rely on.
- Owns HubSpot and Stripe end-to-end as our system of record: architecture, lifecycle stages, routing, contract-to-invoice flow, and the data standards that keep everything downstream trustworthy as we scale.
- Owns the numbers: monthly revenue and billing reporting, ARR tracking, and clear internal and external financial reporting, with metric definitions the whole company shares.
- Becomes the team's go-to for financial questions: self-serve dashboards and fast, well-documented answers, so Sales, CS, and leadership always know where they stand.
- Scales the team through automation, using AI-native tooling (Clay, n8n, and whatever comes next) for everything from enrichment and routing to renewal triggers and reconciliations.
- Unifies the product-led and sales-led funnels, so signups, hand-raisers, and outbound flow through one coherent lifecycle.
- Helps build the company brain: capturing what we learn about customers' tax workflows from calls, CRM notes, and usage and billing data, and turning those insights into improvements across pricing, product, and operations.
This is a builder role with real ownership: the systems, data, and automation you design become how TaxGPT sells, reports, and learns, shaping how thousands of firms adopt AI-powered tax workflows while giving a lean, fast-moving team the leverage to punch far above its weight.
The base pay range for this role is $100,000 – $120,000 per year.
