Key Responsibilities

  • Lead SEC reporting role principally supporting SEC-registered private equity products that require 10-K/Qs, as well as supporting Backstone
  • Responsible for 10-K/Qs preparation and reporting across multiple Blackstone registrants
  • Researching, preparing and writing MD&A, financial disclosures and footnotes
  • Review, editing and verification of public disclosures
  • Disclosure data collection, summarization, analytical review and data analysis, work paper preparation, data presentation, graphics creation and audit coordination
  • Processing SEC documents and maintaining control and integrity thereof
  • Responsible for iXBRL
  • Partner with other groups at Blackstone to ensure complete data and disclosure collection, summarization and verification
  • Ad hoc analysis and projects, such as climate/ESG-related work, disclosure research, etc.

Position is based at Blackstone’s midtown Manhattan office. 4 days per week in office with the option to work remotely 1 day per week if desired. During quarter-ends, employee will generally be expected to be in the office 5 days per week.

Qualifications

  • CPA with 2+ years of public company reporting experience; audit experience is preferred; SEC and registered fund experience is preferred
  • Prior work experience in the financial services industry strongly preferred
  • Accounting and disclosure research experience
  • Narrative financial reporting/disclosure management software experience strongly preferred
  • Public company disclosure, reporting and auditing technical knowledge (GAAP, SEC, PCAOB, GAAS)
  • Strong analytical skills, detail oriented and highly organized
  • Proactive, able to work independently while thriving in a fast-paced, dynamic team‐based environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Expected annual base salary range:

$105,000 - $150,000

Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual's experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation and benefits offered in connection with the role consist of comprehensive health benefits, including but not limited to medical, dental, vision, and FSA benefits; paid time off; life insurance; 401(k) plan; and discretionary bonuses. Certain employees may also be eligible for equity and other incentive compensation at Blackstone’s sole discretion.
