Overview
At Brooklinen, we’re building the future of comfort—and we’d love for you to be part of it. We’re looking for a Finance & Strategy Manager to join our team. This individual contributor role plays a critical part in financial planning, forecasting, and performance analysis, partnering closely with leaders across the business to support data-driven decision-making.
This role is primarily FP&A-focused, with exposure to strategic analysis and special projects that inform both near-term execution and longer-term planning. It’s an opportunity to take real ownership and make an impact at a category-defining consumer brand.
What You’ll Do
- Own core FP&A processes, including monthly forecasting, annual budgeting, and long-range planning support
- Build and maintain financial models to analyze business performance, investment opportunities, and trade-offs
- Perform variance analysis and identify key drivers across revenue, margin, and operating expenses
- Partner with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Merchandising, Supply Chain, Operations) to incorporate business insights into financial plans
- Support strategic analyses related to growth, pricing, promotions, customer behavior, and product performance
- Prepare clear, executive-ready reporting, dashboards, and materials for senior leadership
- Help improve automation, reporting efficiency, and data quality across finance and analytics workflows
- Contribute to ad hoc analyses and special projects as the business evolves
What Success Looks Like
- Forecasts and analyses are accurate, thoughtful, and clearly tied to business drivers
- Stakeholders trust you as a strong analytical partner who brings clarity, not just numbers
- Leadership has timely, actionable insights to support decisions and trade-offs
- FP&A processes become more scalable, repeatable, and efficient over time
- You proactively surface risks and opportunities, not just report on results
We’re Looking for Someone Who Brings
- 4–7 years of experience in FP&A, finance, consulting, or a related analytical role
- Prior experience supporting consumer, retail, or e-commerce businesses strongly preferred
- Strong financial modeling and analytical skills with advanced Excel / Google Sheets proficiency
- Ability to analyze raw data, synthesize insights, and communicate clear recommendations
- Comfort operating as a hands-on individual contributor in a fast-paced environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with cross-functional partners
- Curiosity, ownership mindset, and a desire to continuously improve how things work
Nice to Have
- Experience with marketing, merchandising, or supply chain finance
- Familiarity with financial systems and BI tools (e.g., NetSuite, Looker, Omni, Tableau, SQL)
- Exposure to automation, forecasting tools, or analytics platforms
Compensation
The base salary range for this role is $100,000–$120,000, depending on experience, level of scope, and alignment with the role’s responsibilities. We take a thoughtful approach to compensation and consider factors such as relevant experience, impact, and internal equity when determining an offer.
Benefits & Perks
• Up to 100% medical, dental, and vision coverage (employee-only)
• Fertility & family-building support (up to $20,000 lifetime)
• 401(k) with a 4% company match
• 16 weeks fully paid parental leave
• 20 vacation days (25 after 5 years) plus year-round Summer Fridays
• Hybrid work schedule with two core in-office days (Tues–Thurs)
• Remote Thanksgiving week and remote last week of December
• Up to four additional remote weeks per year with approval
• 40% employee discount plus seasonal product allowance
• One Medical, Talkspace, and $1,000 per year via Joon for wellness
• One-month paid sabbatical at five years
