As a Finance Modernization Director, you’ll be responsible for business process analysis, requirements definition efforts for remediating gaps, cost and cycle time analysis/remediation, and the communication and change management required to ensure the success of our clients – all with the resources, environment, and support to help you excel.
From day one, you’ll collaborate with our Finance Modernization Practice to help clients transform their finance and operations functions, both process-related and reporting, as well as design and implement sustainable models that streamline operations, and comply to business needs. This role looks beyond just control points and focuses on Finance Process Optimization changes that achieve necessary business transformation.
Your day-to-day may include:
- Lead multiple client service delivery teams in the active execution of engagements to help ensure compliance with firm and practice unit service delivery standards
- Utilize technical and financial operation/transformation knowledge to identify complex client issues, broaden client relationships and develop a reputation as a thought leader
- Perform accurate analysis and design effective solutions for a variety of client issues
- Maintain a good working relationship with clients and work effectively with client management and staff at all levels to gather information and perform services
- Communicate (verbally and in writing) externally with clients and internally with all levels of the organization to successfully accomplish objectives
- Perform engagement management responsibilities, including performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, quality review and client management
- Interview campus and/or experienced candidates
- Meet or exceed targeted billing hours (utilization)
- Lead and support business development activities, such as identification, proposal development and other pursuit activities at clients
- Mentor and develop associates, senior associates, and managers
- Other duties as assigned
You have the following technical skills or qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Minimum 10 years of work-related experience in a consulting role serving cross-industry clients at a national level, or relative Finance function role(s) within industry
- Industry recognized professional certification required
- Strong analytical skills and ability to perform quantitative analysis and develop business cases
- Process analysis, Reporting & Business Intelligence, Data Analysis & Reconciliation
- Working knowledge of Close-the-books, Chart-of-Accounts, Treasury, Financial Planning and Analysis & Financial Benchmarking
- Excellent interpersonal, facilitation and presentation skills
- Have excellent written and verbal skills
- Can travel as needed. Expected travel is up to 30%
The base salary range for this position in New York only is between $198,700 and $298,100.
